Friendly Safety Reminders

  • Always supervise your pet while playing with any toys.
  • Discontinue use if any part of the toy is broken or damaged beyond moderate wear and tear.
  • Remove any and all packaging before use.
  • Wash toys regularly to prevent bacteria build up.
  • Ensure that each toy is suitable for your dog’s size and behavior.
  • No dog toy is indestructible.
  • Chew but don’t eat, no dog toy is intended to be eaten and could cause serious harm if ingested.

Dog Toy Types

Rubber Dog Toys

While rubber dog toys are highly durable and safe, no dog toy is indestructible, nor edible or intended to be ingested. Always monitor your dog during play and chew time should be kept to a reasonable time limit. Some Rubber toys may have specific interactive functionalities, such as a feeder for inserting treats or an internal squeaker. It is recommended that these toys be used in conjunction with their functionalities to extend the life of the toy. If any portion or part of the toy is tearing apart, ripped off, or damaged in any way, discard the toy immediately. DuraPaw sends you new toys every month, so you don’t need to keep the old ones!

Dog Lick Mat's

Rubber Lick Mat's are intended for intermittent feeding and licking only. Lick Mat's are not intended to be used as a chew toy and should not be left unsupervised. There are many health benefits to using a Lick Mat, when used properly, such as reducing anxiety and stress. Inspect the Lick Mat before each use to ensure no rubber parts have been chewed or broken loose.

Nylon Dog Toys

Nylon dog toys are a great option for those tough and aggressive chewers, but it's important to keep safety in mind. While teeth marks on the toy are normal, be sure to check regularly for any larger pieces or shavings of plastic that may have been chewed off and could potentially be swallowed or ingested. There is always risk that your dog could crack a tooth if they chew too aggressively. Always monitor your dog while playing with any nylon toy to ensure they are chewing safely, and consider switching to a softer toy if you notice any signs of discomfort.

Soft Plush Dog Toys

Plush toys come in many different types and qualities of fabrics. Many of our DuraPaw Exclusive toys are designed with ropes involved as well. Our plush toys are intended for many different fun games such as fetch, tug-of-war, hide and seek, and some also have puzzle feeders included. Although your dog may chew these plush toys, chew time must be monitored and if the toy becomes damaged in any way it should be taken away and discarded immediately.

Tug Rope Dog Toys

Rope toys are great for dogs who prefer the feel of a softer toy, however, rope toys are not specifically intended for chewing. Rope toys are meant to be used as tug toys, for games such as tug-of-war, to interact and play with your dog. Any part of the rope that becomes twisted, mangled, or undone should be immediately removed from your dog.

Dog Accessories

We want your pup to look their best and feel comfortable in our DuraPaw accessories. Please inspect all dog collars before use and test the buckle to ensure a secure fit. As with any accessory, please do not leave them on your dog unattended. While our products are made with high-quality materials, please monitor your dog to ensure they are not able to chew or ingest any parts of the accessory, which can be harmful to their health.

DuraPaw 2-in-1 Rippables Toys

Our new 2-in-1 Rippables offer a delightful mix of softness and durability for your dog's playtime. For your pet's safety, it's important to always supervise their interaction with the toy, particularly if they have a history of ingesting foreign objects. Assist your dog in removing the fluffy outer layer as soon as you notice any area of the toy shows any sign of being torn or ripped. Discard the exterior layer immediately afterwards and continue to enjoy the durable surprise toy found within.

Opting Out

Opting Out From Receiving Certain Dog Toys

If there are any toy types that you know your dog will not, or does not do well with, we encourage you to reach out right away. Our care team will keep careful notes on your dog's profile and substitute any toys that you prefer not to receive for a more suitable item. You may OPT out of receiving any of the above toy types in your DuraPaw subscription box at any time by reaching out to our team using the contact information below, on our contact page, or within the footer of our website.

Allergies and Treat Preferences

Letting us know of any current allergies or treat preferences for your dog during the ordering process will help ensure we avoid sending any ingredients of concern. Our team will carefully review your puppies listed allergies and cross check this with the monthly themed treats ingredient. If your dog develops new allergies, or their allergies change, you may reach out to us at any time to update these preferences. Please kindly be advised that while our DuraPaw Packing Team strives for excellence, human error can occur. Therefore, it's essential to double-check the flavor and ingredients of the monthly treats before offering them to your dog.

Peanut Allergies: it is important to note that DuraPaw is not a peanut free facility. Dog's seem to love peanut butter way to much for us to avoid it completely. Although, we can absolutely send a peanut free box and do our best to pack any allergy orders separately from other contaminants, there is still the minor risk of cross contamination. If you or a family member has an severe allergies, please take the time to review the items and ingredients in your box before use.
